Love Machine Quilt

The Story of Love Machine

My son Aaron loves to create origami. Quite a lot of origami that he makes for me looks like a quilt block waiting to be made. One day, he made a special heart for me and immediately I knew that I needed to make it into a quilt block. As I was designing the quilt, I wasn't sure what the name would be. I was looking through some of Aaron's papers from preschool, probably feeling nostalgic because he's growing up so fast (he'll be 17 soon!), and I came across a little project called "My Special Quilt". Aaron wrote on his project that his quilt has a "Love Machine" and I knew it needed to be the name of the quilt inspired by my son and his creativity.

FAQ

  • How long to I have access to the class?

Forever! Once you've enrolled and paid, you'll have access to the course material for as long as you need. So devour it all in one weekend or take things slow. It's your choice!

  • Do I have to use Ombre fabrics to make the Love Machine quilt?

No, not at all. You're welcome to use any fabrics that you like. In order to achieve the "sparkle" that each block has, you'll need a fabrics that range in color from light to dark. Ombre fabrics are my favorite because they already include a range of light to dark colors.

  • Am I required to use glue basting to prepare my fabric pieces for sewing?

No, but it helps SO much. If you're not sure and want to see it in action, take a look at one of my glue basting videos on YouTube: https://youtu.be/rj4un1TNPC8

  • What if I'm unhappy with my purchase?

Well, I would be sad. But if you're really unhappy with the course, just email me within 10 days to get a full refund.

  • I still have a question, how can I contact you?

I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Send me an email at [email protected].

Learn more about

Hi! I'm Cristy Fincher of Purple Daisies Quilting. I was born with a love for all things sewing and grew up surrounded by sewing machines and fabric. And now, I've been sewing and quilting for over 30 years. My mom, Master Quilter, Sharon Schamber, and I made our first quilt together back in my college days and it's still well loved today. Before entering the quilting world, I was an elementary school teacher. After having my first child (almost 17 years ago!), my passion for teaching quilting grew. I began teaching classes for quilt shops and guilds, then opened my online store, www.PurpleDaisiesQuilting.com, where my focus on sewing and quilting education. Teaching new and intermediate quilters techniques that build confidence while adding essential skills to their own knowledge base is my passion. My classes will also challenge more experienced quilters while broadening their skill-set.
