Love Machine
Build your piecing skills and fall in love with quilting all over again! In the Love Machine class, you'll learn how to use the versatility of ombre fabric as you cut, baste, and sew to success.
This class is all about techniques for your piecing & quilting success:
As you learn and practice the techniques that I teach, you'll discover how and why they actually make it easier for you to make the heart blocks for this quilt, and how they can be applied to any quilt block. The techniques and skills you'll learn will build on what you already know and will last a lifetime, giving you more confidence and a great sense of accomplishment as you take your piecing and precision to new levels.
This class is beginner friendly, but it will also challenge more experienced quilters as they fine tune their skills.
(Note: The pattern is NOT included. If you don't own it, you can add it on when you enroll. If you already own it, you won't be charged for a second pattern. Win-win!)

My son Aaron loves to create origami. Quite a lot of origami that he makes for me looks like a quilt block waiting to be made. One day, he made a special heart for me and immediately I knew that I needed to make it into a quilt block. As I was designing the quilt, I wasn't sure what the name would be. I was looking through some of Aaron's papers from preschool, probably feeling nostalgic because he's growing up so fast (he'll be 17 soon!), and I came across a little project called "My Special Quilt". Aaron wrote on his project that his quilt has a "Love Machine" and I knew it needed to be the name of the quilt inspired by my son and his creativity.

No, not at all. You're welcome to use any fabrics that you like. In order to achieve the "sparkle" that each block has, you'll need a fabrics that range in color from light to dark. Ombre fabrics are my favorite because they already include a range of light to dark colors.
No, but it helps SO much. If you're not sure and want to see it in action, take a look at one of my glue basting videos on YouTube: https://youtu.be/rj4un1TNPC8
